Hello from Durango, Colorado!
We're writing to report on ROAD TO EVERYWHERE's participation in the 20th Anniversary Durango Independent Film Festival this past weekend.
We were part of an outstanding lineup of only 8 narrative features with films from here in the U.S. and all over the world - Argentina, Peru, Poland, and South Korea.
Leading up to the festival, we were fortunate to have a terrific article about us and the movie published in the Durango Herald which we're certain created some anticipation and excitement. Check it out here:
Our two screenings were completely sold out - some folks unfortunately had to be turned away. Both Michael and Joe led lively Q and A's at the end of each screening. The publisher of the Durango Herald sat next to us during one screening and told us: "You're the talk of the town!"
We met members of the festival selection committee, one of whom told Michael that ROAD was her favorite film at the festival. Another viewer approached Joe the day after seeing the film and told him that while he had planned to see another film after watching ROAD, he instead went home to think about the film, as it had affected him so profoundly.
Coming up: More festival play and some major "Special Screenings" which we're very excited about. We're in the negotiation stage on these screenings, but as soon as our plans crystallize, we will let you know what's coming up!
The journey continues!
