Michael Paradies Shoob - Writer/Director

After a stint as a Directing Fellow at the American Film Institute, Michael co-wrote the sci-fi schlocker PARASITE IN 3D featuring a young Demi Moore which landed him in the Lookout Section of PEOPLE MAGAZINE. The film, released by Embassy Pictures,  recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with a new Blu-Ray version from Kino Lorber.

Based on his experiences driving cab in Los Angeles, Michael wrote and directed  DRIVEN, starring Tony Todd, Daniel Roebuck, Whip Hubley, and Chad Lowe.  The film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.  Atlantic Monthly critic Ella Taylor wrote: DRIVEN is “directed with astonishing assurance, a miracle of good writing”.  Screen International called Michael “One of the Filmmakers to Watch in North America”.

Michael then partnered with Joe Mealey to make the documentary BUSH’S BRAIN, about Presidential Advisor Karl Rove. Variety called it “Darkly comical… seriously scary… purposefully incendiary”.  Tina Brown wrote in the Washington Post: “The blueprint for what’s happening now is all up there on the screen.”  BUSH’S BRAIN became one of the major political documentaries of the early 2000’s.

Joseph Mealey - Producer

A former Cinematography Fellow at the American Film Insitute, Joe was a highly-regarded Director of Photography for more than thirty years, shooting documentaries for PBS, HBO, Showtime, NBC and ABC.

Teaming with Michael Paradies Shoob, he has has been both Producer and Director of Photography on their numerous projects together. He wore both hats on the THE COMPANION, a television pilot which starred Delroy Lindo, shot on location in Las Vegas.

 

As Director of Photography on DRIVEN, Joe captured the moody nocturnal world of Los Angeles. 

On BUSH’S BRAIN, Joe wore both hats once again, working as both Producer and Director of Photography.  Joe steered the film to the South by Southwest Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival and on to a showcase at Cannes.  The film was later broadcast the night before the election on the Sundance Channel and distributed in theaters across the USA by Britain’s Tartan Films. With Joe at the helm, BUSH’S BRAIN became one of the major political documentaries of the early 2000’s.   

Daniel Sollinger - Producer

Daniel Sollinger is a graduate of New York University's Film School, and the producer of more than 400 commercials, music videos, and short films for clients including Pepsi, Warner Brothers Records, CBS, Sony, and Comedy Central. His work has won awards from New York University, The American Film Institute, The Raw Science Film Festival and the American Motion Picture Society, and shown at many major worldwide film festivals.

 

After working on numerous rap videos for artists such as Will Smith, and A Tribe Called Quest, Daniel produced "Rhyme & Reason," a feature film documentary on hip-hop culture. It was distributed by Miramax Films and played in 280 theaters nationwide.

 

Since then, Daniel has gone on to produce or line produce over 60 independent feature films, including "Clean", "The Alphabet Killer," "Girls Against Boys," "In My Sleep," and "Without Men."

 

He is a member of the PGA and a DGA Unit Production Manager.

Bruce Alan Greene - Director of Photography

A graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory, Bruce Alan Greene has been one of Hollywood’s top camera operators over the past thirty years.  His Steadicam and operating work have appeared in such memorable films as THE MASK, MORTAL KOMBAT, STAR TREK VI, THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE, STARSHIP TROOPERS, and Francis Ford Coppola’s DRACULA.

 

Most recently, Bruce has been the Director of Photography on major international film productions starring future Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy.  His credits include CLOSE ENEMY, 8 FIRST DATES, LOVE IN THE BIG CITY 3, and the most recent hit comedy, 8 NEW DATES.  These films have been major hits in the Russian cinema (before the War), selling nearly 2 million tickets while competing against the major Hollywood releases.  

Edward R. Abroms - Editor

Ed Abroms is a 2nd generation film editor known for his work on TEEN WOLF, CHARMED, CSI: MIAMI, EUREKA and EYE CANDY.  As well as working on KISSING BOOTH, GOOD LORD BIRD and PRIDE. Ed was an early adaptor of non-linear editing systems such as Lightworks, D-Vision, Avid & FCP7.  Ed was featured in a the book "Final Cut Pro 7: Advanced Editing". Ed also was known in the editing community for creating a Code Book database using FileMaker Pro when film was still in use. 

 

He started his career as a film librarian at Universal Studios, where he met his wife Terra Mair Abroms, who is now a Co-producer in post. Ed is a member of ACE, served on the board as an associate board member. 

 

Keeping his love of visual storytelling in the family, Ed's son, James, a filmmaker, is following in his grandfather’s and dad’s tradition and is working as Ed’s assistant editor.

 

Mark Tillman CSA - Casting Director

 

After putting together a remarkable ensemble cast for DRIVEN, Mark returns as Casting Director for ROAD TO EVERYWHERE.  A member of the Casting Society of America, he has over thirty years' experience casting television movies, series, pilots, and independent features. 

His award-winning independent features have been seen at the Toronto and Slamdance Film Festivals (DRIVEN), the Aspen Comedy Film Festival (Audience Award Winner, SUCKERS), Tribeca Film Festival (CROSS BRONX) Austin Film Festival (AMERICAN COWSLIP)  and Los Angeles Method Fest  (Jury Choice Award Winner, INTOXICATING).

His many television credits include four years on ABC’s MacGYVER, and syndicated network pilots for HIGHLANDER: THE SERIES and ROBOCOP:THE SERIES.

Rene Haynes CSA - Casting Director

One of the foremost experts in Native American/First Nations/Indigenous casting and a three-time Emmy Nominee, Rene has received the Casting Society’s Artios Award for excellence in casting for both BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE (HBO) and GODLESS (Netflix). 

She has been instrumental in the discovery of many Indigenous actors who have gone on to become stars over the past 20+ years.  During her career she has worked with industry icons Steven Spielberg INTO THE WEST, Terrence Malick THE NEW WORLD and Alejandro Inarritu THE REVENANT – as well as casting many independent features for talented emerging filmmakers. 

Recent work includes the 20th Century Studios feature PREY for Hulu, and the Robert Redford & George RR Martin TV Series DARK WINDS for AMC.  She is currently casting the feature, THORPE about Olympic athlete Jim Thorpe as well as the Indigenous roles for Kevin Costner’s epic saga, HORIZON.

David Linck - Unit Publicist

Dave has worked on over 75 major motion pictures including Steven Spielberg’s HOOK and “AI: ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, box office hits BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, THREE MEN AND A BABY, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, TALLADEGA NIGHTS,  BULL DURHAM, JUMANJI,  THE ACCOUNTANT, THE BODYGUARD, CITY SLICKERS and many others.  He worked at the Los Angeles Times, CNN and 20th Century Fox Pictures before becoming a leading unit publicist working on films during production for over 30 years.   Most recently, he has lectured at UCLA, the University of San Diego and USC as an expert on film marketing.
