The response to our Santa Fe Screening literally blew us away. It far exceeded any expectations we might have had. The Lensic Theater filled 606 seats for a one-night benefit on a cold Thursday night. Thank you to Tom Frouge, Robert Mirabal, Joel Aalberts, Avokado Artists, Globalquerque, and the City of Santa Fe for hosting this event. The screening raised several thousand dollars for the Inter-tribal Connection Initiative, which benefits Native American youth in New Mexico.

This was the very first time we’ve shown the film to a large crowd, and frankly we were worried that the film would work only for part of that audience. Boy, we were wrong! The entire audience was riveted to the screen. They were completely engaged from beginning to end. There was long, thunderous applause at the end.

Virtually the entire audience stayed for the Q & A. They stood one after another and told us how much they loved it and how “personal” the experience was for them. We have done probably 20 Q and A’s at festivals with our other films over the years, and this was by far the longest one we’ve ever done. The audience didn’t want to leave. We finally just stopped it ourselves after more than an hour!
We learned that this film absolutely works for a theatrical audience. Based on this experience, we're contemplating our next moves with the film. We will keep you posted!
Thanks,
Joe and Michael
