The prevailing wisdom these days is that when offered a myriad of streaming options at home, audiences no longer want to go out to see a movie in a traditional theater. Well… On the evening of September 25th at our Los Angeles Preview of ROAD TO EVERYWHERE we pretty much exploded the “prevailing wisdom”. 400 folks fought some usually bad LA traffic and managed to nearly fill the magnificent Stephen Ross Theater at Warner Brothers in Burbank.

And how beautiful the film looked in one of the best venues to see a movie in Los Angeles or maybe anywhere. Our Director of Photography Bruce Alan Greene glanced at the screen during our test the day before and announced “This is just about as perfect as it gets”. The audience was riveted to the film from beginning to end. Most stayed for the lively Q and A afterwards with Michael and Joe and stars Whip Hubley and Robert Mirabal.

Here are some excerpts from letters we received in the days after the screening:
“Wonderful film. Amazing performances. Full of heart. Emotional Resonance – especially at this point in life for me."
"The depiction of reservation life is superb. When do we see this kind of accurate, compassionate depiction of that culture? Rarely."
"Entertainment journalists need to write about the indie filmmaker who wrote and directed an amazing sequel 30 years after release of original film. Incredible story. Bravo!!”
“The movie is wonderful! It’s crazy how impactful it is to see the young Skylar contrasted with the older man who’s lived, loved, lost… Everyone can relate to these 2 guys! The dashed hopes and dreams, the mistakes… What an amazing journey for the filmmakers with this story, the characters, life!”
“STUNNING, heartwarming, heartbreaking…so funny at times I laughed until I cried. As the storyline progressed, I experienced every emotion I know!"
“Your film was absolutely stunning. The storytelling was deeply moving, and the cinematography was breathtaking. Your writing truly shone, making this a remarkable achievement. Congratulations on creating such a powerful and memorable film!”

Our next step? Producers Representative Glen Reynolds, after working with us for the last two years, is now beginning to introduce the film to distributors. At the same time, our ROAD TO EVERYWHERE ROADSHOW continues this coming week, October 9th at Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado with Robert and his Rare Tribal Mob Trio performing after the film. More Roadshows are coming up. And more news as well! We will keep you posted!
Best, Michael and Joe
