Tony Todd

Tony Todd, one of the lead actors in our original DRIVEN in 1996, passed away on November 6, 2024.  Most of you know Tony from his title role in the horror franchise, CANDYMAN.  Just about every top ten list of legendary horror film stars includes Tony as one of the all-time greats.  Tony loved those roles and loved his fans, but there was another side of Tony.  He was a brilliant dramatic actor as well.  He performed on stage whenever he could: Shakespeare, Athol Fugard, August Wilson, evenings of "one-man" plays where he stood alone on stage, captivating an audience for more than two hours.  He was also rightfully proud of his work in dramatic films like PLATOON and DRIVEN.  Tony's remarkable career includes over 200 roles in film and television.  We are especially honored that in interviews and on social media, Tony often mentioned his role in DRIVEN as one of his favorite performances.

Tony wanted to be a part of ROAD TO EVERYWHERE, but was ultimately unable to do the film.  A supremely talented man and lovely human being.  Rest in peace, Tony.
